Q & A about Lahoma
Why did I write a book?
Honestly, not to super spiritualize everything, but the answer is Jesus. I began writing years ago, thinking that it was just for me. I wrote what the Lord showed me in my quiet, worship and prayer times. I shared my writings with friends from time to time, and they always encouraged me to share more and do something with it.
A little at a time, I began to share more consistently, and recently I felt this tug in my heart to take it to the next level. I know that this book is timely for many singles and provides an authentic and transparent way to find hope, healing and restoration. Recognizing that this is not about me and someone is on the other side of my obedience caused me to begin exploring the possibilities and here we are!

What makes me credible?
Credibility rests in the demonstration of Christ’s power in my life. As in 1 Corinthians 2:1-5 “When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power.”

My role in this whole process has been to obediently do what He is telling me to do and the result of obedience is the birth of this book

What season of life am I in currently?
I am learning to depend and trust in God on a deeper, more practical level. I am walking with a greater sense of authority than ever before discovering daily His grace and mercy. I am finding my satisfaction in his uncompromising, unrelenting and unfailing love for me. I am super single and learning to allow God to be Lord over every part of me!

Who or what are my influences?
People! There are so many people that have been influential beginning with my mom Audrey, my Ma Cheryl and my Big O, just to name a few. The people who have been influential know who they are! It would be an injustice to try to acknowledge everyone here because there are so many, and I do not have enough space to mention them all.

Who do I hope will read the book? Why?Everyone! This book is timely especially for people who need a partner on this journey of depending on God for wisdom and revelation. Many people will use this book as a resource to catapult them into their purpose, passion and destiny. I want people to be inspired and realize that they are not alone and provide them with the freedom to be authentic and transparent themselves.

What is my ultimate goal?
To bring glory and honor to God! I just want to stand before my Father and hear Him say, “Well done my good and faithful servant.”

What was my biggest fear in writing this book?
Judgment. Failure. Not finishing. No real need to elaborate.

Do I hope to be married one day, and why?
ABSOLUTELY! Lynette Lewis came to our church for a conference, and I will never forget that she said “marriage multiples whatever current state that you are in.” That statement brings me joy because I love where I am and the thought of multiplying excites me! I want to be married because I would love for someone to be on this journey with me as I do my part, he will be doing his part and together we will make something significant happen in the earth for Jesus, our families and friends.
